The Parts of Speech.

We have:
1. Noun
2. Pronoun
3. Verb
4. Adverb
5. Adjective
6. Conjunction
7. Preposition
8. Interjection

Note: We also have Articles and Determiners which we will treat separately.

These are the things that English is all about.

Without them, there is no English because you can't say a sentence without them. *Okay, let me prove it.*

My dad works in a government hospital.

My - pronoun
Dad - noun
Works - verb
In - preposition
A - article
Government - noun
Hospital - noun

Note: Government is acting as an adjective there because it is telling us the kind of hospital it is. - a government one (one owned by the government)
